Paradigm Buster: Re-Thinking Work

pb2webOur society has been built upon the idea that we must have a job or a career or business…usually one that requires hard work, and doesn’t involve a whole heck of a lot of enjoyment or fun. We live always looking ahead to our weekends and vacations. The primary purpose of work is to get money. We’ve equated work with slogging it out and putting in our time. The majority of people work until a time that has been determined by society (around 65 years of age) that they can now retire and start to enjoy their lives.

…we seriously WAIT until a future date so that we can enjoy our lives! Doesn’t something feel wrong with that?

This is how it has been for so long that it hasn’t been questioned. It’s just the way it is. But it doesn’t need to be. These were ideas put in place thousands of years ago, and the kicker is that they were put in place by rulers in order to suppress and control their people….and we are still actively living this same way! Sure it has all evolved a little bit so it doesn’t look like we are living in the dark ages anymore, but bottom line we are slaves to our work. We do not live in the freedom that is actually inherently ours.

Work isn’t supposed to be work. Work isn’t supposed to be hard. Work isn’t meant to be simply a money making mechanism.

Your actual “work” is to enjoy, experience and to create in and upon this Earth. Your work is joy. You did not come here with a purpose attached to you that required you to find a specific thing that you are meant to do here on Earth. You are a creator, and you have many options. Sure you may have an over-riding theme that you came here to share with the world that is based upon the gifts that you naturally are equipped with, but you do not need to be laboring tirelessly nor searching for the one thing you feel you were meant to do.

You have options…and all those options revolve around the idea of joy.

We have been thoroughly duped into believing that in order to survive we must toil and trudge…and do things that we don’t want to do, all for the sake of being able to get by.

We are in a prison system, but one that we don’t even know we are in. We’ve become so accustomed to the rules and structures in place that we don’t realize we are living within very restrictive boundaries. …but it’s a prison nonetheless.

Do you feel free to quite your job? Do you feel free to go out and just do things you enjoy? Do you feel empowered to live your dreams?

We’ve been told we live in a free world, and it certainly is in many regards, but we are now being called to our true freedom. One where we are not bound by anything and know that our survival is not dependent on the systems that have been put in place.

These systems are already starting to unravel, and they surely will continue to, because people are waking up to the truth of their own power. This obviously won’t happen overnight, and this blurb I’m writing isn’t intended to tell you how to make this all happen. For now, it’s simply intended to wake you up, make you consider something different, make you realize there are other possibilities…and with this seed planted, your soul will start to feed you with ideas and stirrings that will lead you in the perfect way for you.

It’s time to feel the expansiveness, joy and liberation of your true freedom.
