The Lessons of a People-Pleaser

This quote encompasses a huge learning I had to go through to continue to release my people-pleasing tendencies. Being a “recovering” people-pleaser, the idea of someone being upset with me, or not agreeing with what I said or even how I said it absolutely made we lose sleep. It somehow made me feel that what I was doing or saying was “bad.” That there was something about me that was “wrong” and I needed to figure out how to adjust myself and my behaviour to be “better.” As I began on my personal growth journey it became very obvious early on that this would be one of my greatest lessons…and that it was also a two-part lesson.
