Tea Time with Trish: I’m writing to let you know I’m not writing

So, today is Thursday which is typically my blog day.  As I type this I am sitting in Banff with beautiful scenic views.  My initial plan was to come here and write something inspiringly guided by the energy of the mountains, BUT what I have realized is that what I truly need is a break from it all!

I really enjoy writing, and I love what I have to share, however I have to be honest that at times there can be some pressure around getting a weekly blog out.  I have made a commitment to myself that I will not send out a blog just for the sake of sending out a blog…only when I feel I have something of value to share.

What I have done, and will continue to do, is set an intention on my writing days to be inspired to write something that I feel others would benefit from reading…and hopefully in some way create more awareness.

In the past, ideas or stories have always come to me to share, and I’m to the point that I just trust that they will.  Today, however, I am writing this to let you know, that I am not writing today…okay, well other than this quick post!

I have given myself permission to fully and completely let these 3 days in Banff be all about me. Me, Me, Me!  No pressures; no obligations; no commitments; no structured plans (well, other than the massage I have booked); no guilt! Yep, its okay to be selfish…really, it’s not a dirty word.

Next week I will have something to share with you regarding my experience here…and it’s probably not what you’d expect.
